Stage One : Front arches.
With extensive corrosion covering most panels, the first task to attend to on this early bay was to the front wheel arches.
After removing the outer arches, it was found that the wheel-housing tubs were badly corroded, repairing was one option, removal and replacement a better although more expensive one. After consulting the owner, the second option was agreed upon. Once we had removed the tubs we could see and access the corrosion to the chassis legs, which was repaired first.
All the usual corrosion areas were repaired with new panels including cab floor, 'B' posts, outriggers, jacking points, and bulkhead panels. Followed by the outer wheelarches.
