This Karmann Ghia has come in to our workshop for headlamp bowl corrosion to be rectified, new lamp repair panels are to be welded in place and then sealed and glued around the joint.

After a longer wait for the panels than we would have liked, work has now started on the Karmann Ghia, as the pictures below show, we have fitted the off-side bowl and repair panel. 

The near-side lamp bowl was carried out in the same way, only the corrosion was worse so we had to weld in an extra band of metal as well as the repair panel.

Underseal and Wax-oyl was applied to the underneath after building up.

Finished and ready to go, red is one of the hardest colours to match, the Henna Red paintwork matched perfectly.
