Job description:
To paint exterior in
company colours.
To fit out the interior as
specified, maximum storage space, propex heater system.
Full mechanical overhaul,
including reconditioned gearbox, reconditioned steering box and brake system.
This is the amount of general dirt, filler dust, rust, off-cuts of metal, and
anything else that falls off the vehicle.

On first inspection of these two micro-buses they appeared to be good
straight vehicles, a closer look revealed horror after horror, most of the
mechanical parts were worn out, but after 40 years of use and maintenance in
Asia these micro-buses have been stripped down, parts cleaned, checked,
reconditioned and replaced.
One of the buses started and drove (the blue one ), the other wouldn't start
(red and white), that was the first job, to see why it wouldn't. It needed a new
battery, the ignition points adjusting and a gallon of petrol.
That done it was driven, this showed us that the steering-box was worn out,
king and link pins needed adjustment or replacement, hardly any of the electrics
worked and the carburettor leaked.
The blue bus drove, poorly, but it did drive. It would jump out of reverse
gear almost immediately and the steering column was loose.
The paintwork on both buses had recently been been sprayed, not very well but
good enough for most people, but these vehicles are to be used as promotional
mobile offices, and needed to be re-sprayed in the company colours, bright
orange on the roof and lower half and white in the middle.

Promotional stickers were applied to the sides and roof.
