bullet

Please read these terms & conditions, they are not full of complicated jargon, they are here however so that everyone knows where they stand.

bullet

A deposit is required at the time of booking in your vehicle for restoration or any major work. Usually 10% of the estimated cost. If no deposit is paid then I will assume that your vehicle is not booked in my diary.

bullet

Payments for work completed are required on a regular basis, for example, if I work on your vehicle for a week then I expect to be paid for that work at the end of that week.

bullet

Parts required for your vehicle can be supplied by yourselves, possibly saving you money, but I don't like inferior parts so please don't buy cheap rubbish, they usually don't fit well.

bullet

If I supply parts for your vehicle then I will try to buy the best quality parts available, genuine where possible. Costs of parts supplied by myself however will be different to the prices you see in the magazines.

bullet

Any warranty I give on a vehicle must be carried out only by ourselves, otherwise the warranty will be void. We will not be held responsible for any costs incurred by any 3rd party involvement.

bullet

Completion dates are an estimate of when your vehicle will be ready for collection, I cannot be held responsible for any losses incurred if holidays/shows etc are booked and deadlines are not met.

bullet

On completion of work to your vehicle I require the final payment, only after this has been paid can your vehicle be released.

bullet

If we sell a vehicle on your behalf 5% of the sale price will be charged as a commission.

The above terms and conditions can be updated at my discretion at any time.

Rant of the week

We charge a nominal fee per hour for our labour, this covers our wages, rent, rates, taxes, insurances, energy costs etc, it DOES NOT all go in my pocket that's for sure !!!

So when we do a job we try as far as possible to get it right first time, it may cost slightly more than the garage down the road, but I like to think of myself as a honest, fair, straight talking Yorkshireman, and when I say a price it's because it costs that.

So please don't try knocking me down on prices, if you want cheap, by all means go somewhere who does cheap, we do QUALITY, and quality as they say often costs a little more. If you look on this website on the Completed Projects page you will see some Bentley's that I have painted, I have prepped and painted one a year for the last four years, the same standard of preparation goes into your Volkswagen.

Recently we have had enquiries suggesting customer's work on their cars in our garage themselves, while we do other work for them, unfortunately this is not possible due to insurance issues and health and safety, sorry.

I would however like to take this opportunity to thank customers, past, present and in the future for all your support, as without you I would not have a business that serves you and your Volkswagens.

Rant over.
